Última Progress in the controlled propagation of Clarias lazera (Cuvier & Valenciennes) ArchiMer Hogendoorn, H.. Subsequent to the existing work concerning the culture of Clarias lazera (C. et V.) it was tried to increase the effectiveness of it's propagation through artificial reproduc­tion. Hypophysation to induce the release of eggs followed by stripping and artificial ferti­lization gave promising results. The eggs were incubated and hatched successfully and work on fry rearing was started. Although additional work needs to be done, it is felt that-good perspectives are held to resolve the problem of fingerling availability in the culture of Clarias lazera.
