| During the 1950s, the clam played only a bit part in the local maritime context. It was the focus of a different fleet than the king scallop fleet, with a lesser fishing capacity (fleet from the Relecq Kerhuon) and an average annual catch of around 150 tonnes. In the 1960s, with a drop in the king scallop stock, the clam became a substitution resource with productions of over 400 tonnes. The first stages of this evolution are detailed by Le Gall (1969) and Piboubès (1973). | A diagnosis of recreational fisheries is carried out each year on the reef flat area of the Hermitage / La Saline managed by the Natural Marine Reserve of Reunion. The evolution of beach seine, fishing-rod and stick fishing activities, in terms of fishing effort and catch was analyzed. The status of exploited stocks differs according to the fishing technique. In 2018, the annual trend of catch per unit of effort indices showed 1°) an increase in the abundances of goatfish fished with beach seine, 2°) a relative stability with the fishing-rod practice and 3°) a constant decrease in octopus yields for stick fishermen. | Ces dernières années, la petite pêche réunionnaise qui ciblait traditionnellement les espèces récifales et démersales peu profondes, a évolué progressivement vers l’exploitation des stocks de poissons plus profonds (au-delà de 200 m). Ces nouvelles espèces économiquement importantes font l’objet d’une forte exploitation mais sont cependant fragiles d’un point de vue biologique (croissance lente, maturité sexuelle tardive, recrutement aléatoire, écosystème sensible, habitats restreint à La Réunion). | Cette étude correspond au volet « croissance » du projet ANCRE-DMX2. Six espèces ciblées parmi les principales espèces démersales débarquées par la petite pêche réunionnaise ont été étudiées afin d’établir leur modèle de croissance, dont certaines pour la première fois. | A drop in the performance of banded carpet shell Paphia rhomboïdes fishing in the Saint Brieuc Bay has been witnessed by the Saint-Brieuc Bay banded carpet shell professional fishermen since 2002. The Ifremer has been asked to assess the state of the banded carpet shell deposit in this fishing area. This mission report presents the results of the banded carpet shell stock evaluation campaign carried out in collaboration with professional fishermen in May 2006 on board the "Narval Bretagne". The results of the direct local small bivalve evaluations of the "Bivalve 2002" campaign conducted in May 2002 on board the research vessel Thalia in the same area are provided as a benchmark. |

| The ornate jobfish Pristipomoides argyrogrammicus Valenciennes 1832 occurs in the Indo-West Pacific Ocean, where it is harvested by small-scale coastal fisheries. Management of this species is hindered by lack of adequate biological data. We sampled a total of 113 individuals from the landings of local artisanal fishers on the island of Réunion (southwestern Indian Ocean), from March 2014 to March 2015. | This study summarizes the results of the processing and analysis of data from illegal fisheries, apprehended by the eco-guards of the Marine Natural Reserve of Reunion from 2015 to 2017 (including the first dataset from 2018). These information are valued in terms of fisheries and bioecological knowledge for reef fish species. | For the first time ever at such a spatial scale, the EPICURE project is using the complementary exosystemic, functional and fisheries approaches to analyze and compare the partially exploited fish‐populating structure of the Geyser, Zélée, and Iris banks.
