This study aims to evaluate the farmers' preference to irrigated promising rice lines grown in farmers' fields in north eastern Thailand during wet season 2013. The preference analyses were carried out at 2 stages; at reproductive stage to evaluate for agronomic characteristics, and after harvest to evaluate for grain physical qualities and cooking qualities. Two sets of promising lines were evaluated; glutinous and non-glutinous set. At the reproductive stage, the preference analyses were carried out in 3 provinces. It was found that the glutinous cultivar RD10 and the non-glutinous line KKN01041-23-2-1-1 were the most preferred cultivar/line by farmers.
