| The ponds are a cultivation environment not only for the oyster but also for the rich microscopic flora and fauna which go together with the lamellibranch. The Diatoms are the focus of the oyster farmers as they not only contribute to the molluscs' nutrition but are also susceptible to change the colour of their gills in specific environmental conditions. We carried out in parallel an experimental study on the oyster and on the marine diatoms, and aimed to precise the optimal conditions for these two organisms, in order to know if they are the same for both of them. |
