| 5 歳6 カ月齢ホルスタイン種乳牛が，後躯麻痺による起立不能を呈した．浅頸リンパ節の腫大と直腸検査による腫瘤 の触知から牛白血病を疑ったが，血液検査とリンパ節の針吸引生検では確定診断できなかった．剖検では，60 × 40 × 20cm 大の多結節性腫瘤が背側の腹腔壁に接して存在していた．腫瘍組織は腸腰筋に浸潤し，一部は第5 および第6 腰 椎椎間孔より脊柱管内に連続的に波及し，脊髄および脊髄神経根を圧迫していた．腫瘍はCD3 陽性のT細胞性リンパ 腫で，牛白血病ウイルス抗体陰性であったため，散発型牛白血病と診断された． A Holstein cow (5 years and 3 months old) presented with hind limb paresis and was unable to stand. Bovine leukosis was suspected given the enlargement of cervical lymph nodes and existence of an abdominal mass detected by rectal palpation; however，it could not be confirmed by blood examination and fine needle aspiration of cervical lymph nodes. | Computed tomography (CT) was used for diagnosis of brain abscess in a 6-month-old, Japanese black calf presented with neurological dysfunction, compulsive circling and vision disturbance. CT images showed asymmetric lateral ventricles, and presence of intra-cranial multiple low absorption lesions surrounded by capsule suggestive of abscess in the right cerebral hemisphere. Postmortem examination revealed marked swelling of right cerebral hemisphere and olfactory bulb. Multilocular large abscess containing creamy pus was found to occupy most area of periventricular and lateral ventricle.
