Evaluation of biochemical parameters and productive performance of japanese quail in response to the replacement of soybean meal with canola meal Animal Sciences

The present study was conducted to evaluation the different levels canola meal (CM) replacement by soybean meal (SBM) in Japanese quails diets on productive performance, egg quality trails and blood parameters including blood protein, minerals concentration, liver enzymes and thyroid hormones. In this study, 160 of Japanese quails in second laying phase from 46 to 56 weeks of age were divided in four treatments with four replicates and 10 quail in each per replicate, on a completely randomized design (CRD).Treatments consisted:T1) control (without CM), T2, T3 and T4) replacing 30, 60 and 90% of SBM with CM respectively. The results were shown no significant variation in body weight between treatments in initial and end of the experiment (p > 0.05)....

Influence of xylanase and vitamin A in wheat-based diet on performance, nutrients digestibility, small intestinal morphology and digesta viscosity in broiler chickens Animal Sciences

The effect of wheat-based diet (WBD), supplemented with xylanase and surplus vitamin A, on performance, nutrient digestibility, intestinal morphology and digesta viscosity of broiler chickens was investigated. Based on a completely randomized design, 240-day-old chickens were randomly divided into six experimental diets and four replications with 10 chickens each. Experimental diets consisted of corn-based diet (CBD) (T1), WBD with routine amounts of vitamin A (9000 IU kg-1) (T2), T2 without vitamin A in premix (T3), T2 + 6000 IU kg-1 vitamin A (T4), T2 + 420 IU kg-1 xylanase (T5), and T2 + 6000 IU kg-1 vitamin A + 420 IU kg-1 xylanase (T6). Immune response, blood parameters and growth performance in broiler fed reduced protein diet supplemented with β-hydroxy-β-methyl butyrate and conjugated linoleic acid Animal Sciences

  In this experiment a total of 300 d-old broilers (Ross 308) were randomized across 20 floor pens and reared up to 42 d. Treatments includes: 1) A normal-protein diet (NPD) was formulated according to the Ross 308 recommendation (2014) by corn and soybean meal, 2) A reduced-protein diet (RPD) was prepared with dietary protein reduced by 12 g kg-1 (1.2%) relative to the NPD, 3) HMB+ RDP, 4) CLA+RDP and 5) CLA+ HMB+ RDP. The results showed that broilers fed HMB diet had higher Average Daily Gain (ADG) and Feed Conversion Rate (FCR) significantly improved by HMB during the grower or the whole period (p < 0.05).
