The eight compilation of Microlepidoptera collected in The Netlierlands covers the year 1994. Six species are recorded for the first time from The Netherlands. Micropterix schaefferi (Micropterigidae) was already collected in May 1977 but was not reported so far. The specimens were caught by sweeping Vaccinium myrtillus. One specimen of Caloptilia suberinella (Gracillariidae) was collected in a light trap in the southwestern part of the country. Two specimens of Monochroa arundinetella (Gelechiidae) were collected at light in the dunes in the province of Noord-Holland. The species is compared with M. suffesella and diagnostic features are described and figured. Scrobipalpula psilella was collected in 1991 in the very south-east of the country... |

Bucculatrix ainsliella Murtfeldt, 1905 is for the first time reported from Europe: the Netherlands, Belgium, and adjacent Germany. DNA barcodes confirm its identity. It is the first North American lepidopteranspecies feeding on northern red oak Quercus rubra ever found in Europe, and only the second North American oak-feeding insect found in Europe. The species has regularly been found in the Netherlands and northern Belgium since 2006, and in 2011 also in Nordrhein-Westfalen in Germany, adjacent to the Dutch border, but the earliest records are from the Netherlands, Amersfoort in 1989 and 1990. Early stages, leafmines, and the adult are described, illustrated, and diagnosed against oak-feeding Bucculatrix ulmella Zeller, 1848 and other similar species.... |

The genus Gielisella gen. n., belonging to the Elachistidae: Parametriotinae is described with two new species from southern Spain: its type species G. clarkeorum sp. n. and G. nigripalpis sp. n., both only known from adults collected at light. DNA barcodes of both species are provided. The taxonomic history of the Parametriotinae is discussed and a catalogue of the 35 recognised genera is provided as appendix. The arguments for erecting a new genus are discussed and we hypothesize that this constitutes an overlooked native Palaearctic element, although we cannot completely rule out the possibility of imported exotic species. |

This is the ninth compilation of Microlepidoptera collected in The Netherlands, covering the year 1995. Four spccies are recorded for the first time from The Netherlands. Nemapogon inconditella (Tineidae) was collected in a light trap in the eastern part of the country. One specimen of Elachista pomerana (Elachistidae) was collected at light and two others were collected in a malaise trap in the northwestern part of the province of Overijssel. Of Elachista eleochariella two specimens were swept from the vegetation at dusk not far from the previous location. One specimen of Scrobipalpula tussilaginis (Gelechiidae) was already collected in 1988 in the southeast of the country, but was not reported so far. Two species have to be removed from the Dutch list:... |

This is the twelfth compilation of interesting Microlepidoptera collected in The Netherlands, covering the year 1999. Cochylidia richteriana (Tortricidae) is recorded for the first time from The Netherlands: two females were swept from vegetation in the extreme south of the country. In 1999 Cameraria ohridella (Gracillariidae) appeared to be established in The Netherlands, we refer to its discovery. The following rare or interresting species are mentioned here: Ectoedemia quinquella (Nepticulidae), the second Dutch locality: the very rare Depressaria pulcherrimella (Depressariidae) was found in the province Zuid-Holland; a third locality of both Aristotelia subdecurtella and Monochroa arundinetella (Gelechiidae) for The Netherlands in the province of... |

Stenolechiodes pseudogemmellus (Gelechiidae) is recorded for the first time from The Netherlands. This species has recently been described and specimens were found amongst series of the well-known Stenolechia gemmella. Thaumatotibia leucotreta (Tortricidae) is recorded for the first time as an inadvertently introduced species. New Dutch records of the following 99 rare and / or interesting species are given or summarised: Stigmella centifoliella, Ectoedemia atrifrontella, E. longicaudella (Nepticulidae), Nemophora ochsenheimerella,... |

Antispila treitschkiella (Fischer von Röslerstamm, 1843) and A. petryi Martini, 1899, sp. rev. were regarded as synonymous since 1978, but are shown to be two clearly separated species with different hostplants, life histories, DNA barcodes and morphology. Antispila treitschkiella feeds on Cornus mas L., is bivoltine, and has, by following its ornamentally planted host, greatly expanded its range in north-western Europe. In contrast A. petryi feeds on the widespread native C. sanguinea L., is univoltine, and is one of only two Antispila species previously resident in the British Isles, the Netherlands and northern Europe. Consequently, the increase in abundance of A. treitschkiella in the Netherlands since the early 1990s and in Great Britain in recent... |

This is the sixth compilation of Microlepidoptera collected in The Netherlands, covering the year 1992. Two species are recently recorded for the first time from The Netherlands by the Dutch Plant Protection Service, Wageningen: Olethreutes arbutella (Tortricidae) and Duponchelia fovealis (Pyralidae). The adults, and male and female genitalia are figured. Differences in the external characters, and male and female genitalia of the following species are discussed: Teleiodes proximella, T. saltuum and T. wagae (Gelechiidae) and Acleris cristana, A. hastiana and A. scabrana (Tortricidae). In the authors experience A. scabrana can be distinguished morphologically from A. hastiana in the edging of the basal area by a regular and bent row of small scale tufts. |
