Soil and water salinity are the important constraints affecting rice production in several rice growing areas in Thailand especially, in Northeastern region. There were researches attempt to solve the problem such as land preparation, water and soil management, nutrient management and breeding for salt tolerant rice. However, those research results obtained were not the final solution for getting risk of the problem in saline paddy field. This probably dues to several factors existing in different environments and soil conditions in each area, which require different managements. การพัฒนาบรรจุภัณฑ์ในการเก็บรักษาเมล็ดพันธุ์ข้าวแบบ Hermetic Thai Agricultural

Hermetic storage method was used to preserve rice seed, Phitsanulok 2 variety was stored in five storage packaging types including, plastic bag, LDPE, Nylon, PET12 and Super bag. The experiment aimed to investigate the effect of hermetic storage method with several packaging types on rice seed quality. The experimental design was split split plot in RCB having moisture content as main plot (8% and 10%), storage packaging type (plastic bag, LDPE, Nylon, PET12, and IRRI super bag) and seed weight (5 and 20 kilograms) (5 x 2 factorial) was a sub plot and storage period (0, 6, 12, 18 and 24 months) was a sub sub plot.
