The optimization of Ifremer's survey as a support of MSFD monitoring has been available since 2016 on the offshore fisheries surveys. Several protocols have been implemented, such as the “seafloor litter” and “gelatinous zooplankton” protocols. The aim of both protocols is to respectively collect data about the spatio-temporal evolution of waste and determine their origin, and to monitor the biodiversity of gelatinous zooplankton. From September to November 2017, they were tested on coastal surveys: NOURSOM, NOURNEINE, NOURMONT, ORHAGO, and NURSE. These surveys were primarily deployed to estimate the bentho-demersal species stocks as well as their spatio-temporal and trophic dynamics by a standardized sampling. Thus, this paper aims to assess the... |
