Nutrition artificielle des larves de bivalves : intérêt et problèmes ArchiMer
De Longcamp, D.; Lubet, P.; Masson, M..
In the framework of the symposium on the current state of the knowledge on shellfish farming and on the related research perspectives, it seemed interesting to tackle the issue of the feeding of bivalve larvae and spats with artificial, non living food. The progress made for about twenty years in experimental shellfish farming has enabled the mastery of the ecological factors determining the success of the rearing of bivalve larvae and spats.

Production primaire en continu pour la nutrition de Pelecypodes Epiges ArchiMer
Faveris, R.; Lubet, P..
Four species of monocellular euryhalin algae (Monochrysis lutheri, Isochrysis galbana, Tetraselmis suecica, Chlorella sp) had been cultivated on control medium (Conway) and on sewage medium (1/3 sewage water + 2/3 sea water.. The cells population dynamics is optimium at salinity of 22 0/00. The rate of nitrates and phosphates is lower in sewage medium than in control medium and sewage medium contains many bacteria gradually destroyed by the action of 02 during 12 days. The evolution of bacterial and chemical contents of sewage and control media had been studied through the period of cultivation. Sewage medium shows self-clean sed and the rate of nitrate and phosphates gradually increases and decreases in control medium. Algae productivity and the rate of...

Conséquences sur la maturation et la croissance d'une transplantation de naissain de pecten maximus (L.) ArchiMer
Antoine, L.; Garen, P.; Lubet, P..
Some king scallop reimplantation experiments on an old deposit (Roadstead of Brest) have been conducted with spats collected in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc. In the introduced population, the length growth has not proved very different from that of the original population. But scallops have acquired the characteristics of the indigenous population as far as valve curvature is concerned. They also showed a precocious sexual maturity which did not exist at the same time in the original population. The acquisition of indigenous characteristics could have interesting consequences for the commercialisation of such a repopulated deposit.
