Turbellaria from Curaçao Naturalis
Marcus, Ernst.
A study of the several fresh and brackish-water springs on Curaçao, carried out by Dr. P. WAGENAAR HUMMELINCK, revealed (a) the common occurrence on that island of Dugesia festai (Borelli 1898), a species which until then had only been known from the South American mainland (nearest find: Ecuador!), and (b) a hitherto undescribed species of Bothromesostoma, which is probably more abundant than the single discovery of it in small rain-puddles suggests. No Turbellaria were collected in the few springs which were sampled on Bonaire and Aruba.

Opisthobranchs from Curaçao and faunistically related regions Naturalis
Marcus, Ernst; Bois-Reymond Marcus, Eveline du.
The material of the present report — 82 species of opisthobranchs and 2 lamellariids — ranges from western Florida to southern middle Brazil with Curaçao as centre. We thankfully acknowledge the collaboration of several collectors. Professor Dr. DIVA DINIZ CORRÊA, Head of the Department of Zoology of the University of São Paulo, was able to work at the “Caraïbisch Marien-Biologisch Instituut” (Caribbean Marine Biological Institute: Carmabi) at Curaçao from December 1965 to March 1966, thanks to a grant received from the Royal Government of the Netherlands. Dr. PIETER WAGENAAR HUMMELINCK, of Utrecht, sent us his collection from the Caribbean area and Florida; Mrs. GERMAINE L. WARMKE, M. Sc., of Gainesville, Fla., her specimens gathered chiefly at Puerto...

A new Syndesmis from Saint-Barthélemy, Lesser Antilles (Neorhabdocoela) Naturalis
Marcus, Ernst.
Mrs. EVELINE DU BOIS-REYMOND MARCUS found the turbellarian described below, which belongs to the Umagillidae (Neorhabdocoela, Dalyellioida), in a vial of Dr. P. WAGENAAR HUMMELINCK’S collection of Caribbean polyclads. The species of Syndesmis are known to live in the body cavity and the intestine, especially the rectum, of sea-urchins, so that the present specimens might have been evacuated together with the faeces. The last revision of the Umagillidae (STUNKARD & CORLISS 1951) was followed by papers of WESTBLAD (1953), HICKMAN (1955, 1956), HICKMAN & OLSEN (1955), and HYMAN (1960). Their results suggest continuing the key of STUNKARD & CORLISS. AS the present species has a simple, not H-shaped, intestine, paired testes, and paired ovaries, the...

Opisthobranchs from the Lesser Antilles Naturalis
Bois-Reymond Marcus, Eveline du; Marcus, Ernst.
Thanks to help of the Government of the Netherlands, Dr. DIVA DINIZ CORRÊA, a lecturer in our Department, was able to work at the “Caraïbisch Marien-Biologisch Instituut” (Caribbean Marine Biological Institute; Carmabi) Curaçao, from January to July 1962. Besides actinians and nemerteans for her own studies she collected opisthobranchs for us, sketched them alive, and took notes of their shape and colours. Furthermore, Dr. PIETER WAGENAAR HUMMELINCK, of Utrecht, has sent us his collections, with exception of the Aplysiidae, caught in 1930, which were already studied by ENGEL (1936).

Polycladida from Curaçao and faunistically related regions Naturalis
Bois-Reymond Marcus, Eveline du; Marcus, Ernst.
Professor Dr. DIVA DINIZ CORRÊA, Head of the Department of Zoology of the University of São Paulo, was able to work at the “Caraïbisch Marien-Biologisch Instituut” (Caribbean Marine Biological Institute: Carmabi) at Curaçao from December 1965 to March 1966, thanks to a grant received from the Government of the Netherlands. There she collected 26 species of Polyclads, and took notes of their shapes and colours. Furthermore Dr. PIETER WAGENAAR HUMMELINCK, of Utrecht, sent us a large collection of polyclads from the Caribbean area, gathered on his trips from 1930 to 1964. He had also collected in 1963 in the Miami area. We received some samples from the latter area from Prof. Dr. CORRÊA and Prof. Dr. FREDERICK M. BAYER, of Miami. Drs. LILIANA FORNERIS, WALTER...
