| Le "Président Théodore Tissier" a quitté BREST le 15 Septembre 1956, touché SETE le 25 et entrepris dès le 27 sa deuxième campagne en Méditerranée. Il a consacré tout d'abord une quinzaine de jours à l'étude de la situation hydrologique dans le nord du bassin occidental. A partir du 14 octobre et jusqu'au 8 décembre il a poursuivi et complété les recherches sur les fonds chalutables commencées en 1957. Pour ne parler ici que des travaux concernant le chalut, une centaine de pêches, une cinquantaine de dragages et de très nombreux relevés de fond au sondeur ultra-sonore ont été effectués au cours de ces deux campagnes. Ils permettent de préciser les possibilités de chalutage au nord du 41ème parallèle, des côtes catalanes aux côtes italiennes. |

| At the time of a survey of the biology of Lithognathus mormyrus and its feeding ecology and dynamies, in the region of Algiers and Annaba, preys ingested by this species were determined from stomach contents. Food was composed entirely of benthic organisms. It has been counted more than 45 species-preys distributed in 9 taxonomic classes. The quantitative analysis of these preys and the variation of the food regime according to a certain number of parameters were treated. The young individuals fed on small Tellinids bivalves and adults, on Crustaceans Amphipods, Cumaceans, Decapodes, Molluscs, sea urchins and Polychaetes.
