Effect of ascorbic acid on growth and chemical constituents of Monstera delicious under lead pollutant conditions CIGR Journal
Mazher, Azza.
Pots experiment was conducted during the two successive seasons of (2013 – 2014) and (2014 – 2015) in the green house of National Research Centre (NRC), Giza, Egypt. It intended to find out the effect of ascorbic acid application at three concentrations (0, 100 and 200 ppm) on growth and chemical constituents of Monstera delicious plants under four concentrations of lead (0, 25, 50 and 100 ppm). The results showed that the application of ascorbic acid at 200 ppm and lead at 25 ppm led to increase growth parameters (i. e. plant height, leaf area, neck leaf length, root length, number of leaves, stem diameter and fresh and dry weight of all plant organs. The same tendency was absorved regarding N, P, K and total carbohydrates compared with control plants....

Ability of some woody trees for growth under the stress of irrigation with wastewater CIGR Journal
Mazher, Azza.
This experiment was carried out during two successive seasons of 2014 and 2015 at the National Research Centre, Dokki, Giza, Egypt, to investigate the effect of irrigation with two types of water (Tap water and Waste water) on growth, and chemical composition of some seedlings of woody trees (Terminalia angustifolia, Rademachera ignea  and Ficus mango). Growth parameter (plant hight(cm), No. of leaves/plant, length of root (cm) and stem dimeter (cm) increased significantly in all seedlings by using waste                              water than tap water, except in Rademachera ignea  seedlings irrigated with tap water significantly increased number of leaves compared with wastewater. Irrigation with wastewater significantly increased fresh and dry weight of...

Interaction effect of nickel and cobalt in irrigation water on growth, chemical constituents and mineral content of Cypress (Cupressus Sempervirens, L) seedling grown on sandy soil CIGR Journal
Mazher, Azza.
A pot experiment was conducted in two seasons (2013 and 2014) to evaluate the combination effect of nickel and cobalt at 0, 10, 20, 40 and 80ppm of both elements  in irrigation water on growth, chemical constituents and mineral content of Cypress (Cupressus Sempervirens, L) seedling grown on sandy soil. Results showed that all tested treatments of Ni and Co combinations caused significant increases in stem length and stem diameter of Cypress seedling as compared with control treatment with the exception of 80 ppm Ni + 80ppm Co combination treatment for stem length and 40ppm Ni + 80 ppm Co and 80ppm Ni combined with 40 or 80ppm Co for stem diameter. The fresh and dry weight of root, stem and leaves were significantly increased by combined 10 and 20 ppm of Ni...

Study of the ability of the Swietenia mahagoni seedlings on remove of wastewater pollutants and bio-fertilization effect on growth and chemical constituents CIGR Journal
Mazher, Azza.
Pot experiment was carried out at the Screen of National Research Centre, Cairo, Egypt during the two successive seasons of 2014 and 2015. This study aims to find out the effect of bio-fertilizers (phosphorien, microbien, nitrobien and potassiummage at 10 g / pot) on growth and chemical constituents of Swietenia mahagoni plants on remove of wastewater pollutants. The results showed that application of microbien alone gave the highest values of plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, fresh and dry weight of stems, while the highest values of root length, fresh and dry weight of leaves and roots were obtained when plants treated with nitrobien compared with other bio-fertilizers and control plants. The effect of interaction between bio-fertilizers and...
