| Tabebuia caraiba (Mart.) Bureau, commonly known as Silver Trumpet Tree is a forestal species, belonging to Bignoniaceae family, which can be utilized as medicinal plant or in landscaping of urban and rural areas; besides producing large mechanical resistance wood. Despite its wide use and ecological importance, basic studies on storages of their seeds are scarce. | ABSTRACT The electrical conductivity test enables the evaluation of seed vigor for a maximum period of 24 hours, but the need to count the seeds to obtain a sample for analysis makes it difficult to apply this test to small seeds, such as forage grasses. The objective of this study was to establish a practical methodology for testing the electrical conductivity of Brachiaria brizantha (Hochst. Ex A. Rich.) Stapf ‘Marandú’ seeds and to estimate its effect on seedling emergence in the field. | ABSTRACT The Eriotheca gracilipes (K. Schum.) A. Robyns) is a forest specie that belongs to the Bombacaceae family and is considered an endemic specie from the Brazilian savanna. The aim of this study was to evaluate the best substrate and temperature for the vigor and germination test of E. gracilipes seeds.
