| Located in the Gulf of Guinea, with an area of 322 465 km², Cote d’Ivoire (4°30’ and 10°30’N and 2°30’ and 8°30’W) is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean in the south, Liberia in the south east, Guinea in the northwest, Burkina Faso in the north and Ghana in the east. The coast between Liberia and Ghana is about 540 km length. The country is influenced by the Monsoon (humid) and Harmattan (dry) tropical air masses. These two air masses are separated by the intertropical front that influences the local climate. The climate in southern part, including the coast, is humid tropical and characterized by a climate with four seasons: two dry seasons from November to March and from July to August and two rainy seasons from April to June and from September to October.... |

| Ce document présente un bilan statistique résumé de l’activité de la flottille des canneurs et senneurs FIS 6 de 1991 à 2001. Les données historiques de 1969 à 1990 ont été décrites dans un document antérieur (Diouf et Fonteneau 1999). Les données de 1991 à 2001 de ce document ont été révisées et complétées pour l’année 2001. Le document donne des indications sur les caractéristiques des flottilles (type de pêche par catégorie en nombre), les efforts de pêche par type et catégorie de taille des navires, le nombre de carrés de 1° visités par la flottille par année, les prises, les efforts standardisés et les PUE par espèce pour les canneurs et les senneurs, ainsi que les prises par classes de tailles par trimestre pour chacune des trois espèces et pour les... |
