| Payments for Environmental Services (PSA) are part of a global context as an efficient environmental management strategy not only in environmental issues, but also in economic and social aspects, as through financial and technical incentives, conservation actions are stimulated. However, for PSA to be effective, it is imperative to consider some criteria, such as the insertion of these payments into the market economy from economic valuation techniques and their regulation in Brazilian legislation.
