| O experimento foi realizado em casa de vegetação com o objetivo de avaliar o efeito da adubação nitrogenada e fosfatada sobre a produção de matéria seca (MS) da parte aérea e das raízes, o teor e a produção de proteína bruta (PB) e de fibra em detergente neutro (FDN). Utilizou-se o delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial 4 × 2, composto de quatro doses de nitrogênio (0, 50, 100 e 150 mg/dm³) e duas doses de P2O5 (0 e 45 mg/dm³) com quatro repetições. As sementes da gramínea foram estabelecidas em vasos com capacidade de 6,3 L, de modo que, após desbaste, permaneceram três plantas por vaso. | The objective of this study was to evaluate the economic returns of crossbred calves grazing on pastures formed by Urochloa brizantha fed crude glycerin as a supplement. Thirty-six crossbred calves with initial average weight of 301.5 kg were distributed in a completely randomized design with four treatments and nine replicates per treatment. The animals were maintained on rotational grazing production of Urochloa brizantha cv. Marandu. The tested treatments were 0.0, 3.33, 6.66 and 9.99% inclusion of crude glycerin in the total dry matter as a substitute for corn. | This experimentwas carried out with the objective of determining the energy and protein requirements of grazing Nellore steers. Twenty four Nellore steers (average 371 ± 14 kg of BW and 26 months old) were used. Four steers were slaughtered at the beginning of the experiment (reference group), serving as a reference for the subsequent study. The remaining 20 animals were weighed and distributed in a randomized complete block design with four levels of supplementation offers: 0.0 (mineral mixture - control), 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9% BW, with five replications.
