Modelagem de Micronutrientes para Mimosa scabrella na Região Metropolitana de Curitiba, Estado do Paraná PFB - Pesquisa Florestal Brasileira
Téo, Saulo Jorge; Machado, Sebastião do Amaral; Figueiredo Filho, Afonso; Reissmann, Carlos Bruno.

Pruning and bark girdling or erva-mate (Ilex paraguariensis) aiming induction of basal sproutings PFB - Pesquisa Florestal Brasileira
Santin, Delmar; Wendling, Ivar; Benedetti, Eliziane Luiza; Brondani, Gilvano Ebling; Reissmann, Carlos Bruno; Morandi, Divercindo; Roveda, Luís Fernando.
The extrativism method, inappropriate management and the reduction of mate tree populations has resulted in the loss potencial of relevant specimens for future genetic improvement. Few are the techniques and studies, focused on the restoration of degraded mate tree plantations, in order to recover vegetative samples of mature trees. So, an experiment was installed in São Mateus Country, Paraná State-BR, in a mate weakened population whose trees aged approximately 40 years. The objective was to evaluate the efficiency of bark girdling, combined to different pruning intensities, on the sprouting at the base of the  trunk of weakened mate trees. A bark ring of 1 cm width, at 20 cm from the base, was removed. Additionally the crown was submitted to three...

Development and Nutrition of Ocotea odorifera (canela sassafrás) Submitted to the Fertilization and Omission of Nutrients PFB - Pesquisa Florestal Brasileira
Keil, Silvia Schmidlin; Reissmann, Carlos Bruno; Pellico Netto, Sylvio.
The present paper has as objective the evaluation of the nutritional aspects, fertilization effect and omission of nutrients in the plants grow of canela sassafras (Ocotea odorifera (Vell.) Rohwer), in a vegetation house for 24 months, consisting of 11 treatments and five repetitions, with seasonal collections, using the springer material. The treatments consisted of control (natural soil), complete fertilization (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, Zn and B), fertilization with individual nutrients omission (-N, -P, -K, -Ca, -Mg, -S, -B, -Zn) and organic fertilization (bovine manure). Natural fertility soil and plants of canela sassafras originally from natural  regeneration dispossess in causality statistical  delineation were utilized. The height, diameter length and...

Mineral content of young leaves of yerba mate PFB - Pesquisa Florestal Brasileira
Bastos, Marília Camotti; Reissmann, Carlos Bruno; Keseker, Jéssica Fernandes; Pauletti, Volnei; Gaiad, Sérgio; Sturion, José Alfredo.
Yerba mate is largely used to produce drinks to human consume. In Spring the plants develop tender young leaves that could represent a new market niche in the yerba-mate industry; this period is called as ”pressafrinha” in this study. This study aimed to analyze the total and hydro soluble nutritional values of young leaves collected in the Spring season and its nutritional potential for human consumption. To represent the ”pressafrinha” young leaves, the collected vegetal material was limited to the third terminal bud. The total and hydro soluble chemical analysis of leaves in the provenances Cascavel (progeny 174), Ivaí (progeny 6), Barão de Cotegipe (progenies 68 and 69) included the following elements: P, K, Ca, Mg, Na, Fe, Mn, Cu and Zn. The content...

Liming and fertilisation in Pinus taeda plantations with severe nutrient deficiency in savanna soils Agronomy
Batista, Araína Hulmann; Motta, Antônio Carlos Vargas; Reissmann, Carlos Bruno; Schneider, Thays; Martins, Iara Lang; Hashimoto, Maurício.
Soils with high acidity and low exchangeable bases may be responsible for low yields of Pinus taeda in a forest plantation at Jaguariaíva, Paraná State, Brazil. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of liming and fertilisation, applied over litter, on two selected areas with Pinus taeda plantations. Soil, litter and pine needles were evaluated for K, Ca and Mg concentrations and soil acidity parameters. Seven treatments were applied: (i) complete (N, P, K, Zn, Cu, B, Mo, and lime); (ii) without N, P, and K; (iii) without Zn, Cu, B, and Mo; (iv) without K; (v) without Zn; (vi) without lime; and (vii) control (without nutrients and lime). Soil samples were collected at five soil depths (0-5, 5-10, 10-20, 20-40 and 40-60 cm) simultaneously with...
