SPATIAL VARIABILITY OF IRRIGATED COMMON BEAN YIELD CORRELATED WITH THE FERTILITY OF A SANDY SOIL REA
Oliveira,Job T. de; Roque,Cassiano G.; Teodoro,Paulo; Montanari,Rafael.
ABSTRACT The common bean is widely cultivated in Brazil. In the 2016–2017 growing season, an experiment was carried out in a Typic Quartzipsamment (or Neossolo Quartzarênico) soil in the municipality of Cassilândia, MS, Brazil, with the aim of characterizing specific aspects of soil management, using a linear and spatial correlation between the irrigated yield of common beans and the chemical properties of the soil. Soil samples were collected from layers at depths 0.00–0.10 and 0.10–0.20 m, within a grid of 117 georeferenced points. A data analysis was carried out using statistical and geostatistical techniques. A multiple regression analysis showed that about 31% of the grain yield variability of the irrigated common bean crop could be attributed to the...

Tillage systems and cover crops on soil physical properties after soybean cultivation AGRIAMBI
Teixeira,Rafael B.; Borges,Monica C. R. Z.; Roque,Cassiano G.; Oliveira,Marcela P..
ABSTRACT Soil management alters soil physical attributes and may affect crop yield. In order to evaluate soil physical attributes in layers from 0 to 0.40 m and soybean grain yield, in the 2012/2013 agricultural year, an essay was installed in the experimental area of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS/CPCS). Soil tillage systems were: conventional tillage (CT), minimum tillage (MT) and no tillage (DS), the cover crops used were millet, sunn hemp and fallow. The experimental design was randomized blocks with split plots. For the layer of 0.20-0.30 m, millet provided the best results for soil bulk density, macro and microporosity. The resistance to penetration (RP) was influenced in the layer of 0-0.10 m, and millet provided lower RP. The DS...

Soil resistance to penetration in cotton rows and interrows AGRIAMBI
Baio,Fábio H. R.; Scarpin,Igor M.; Roque,Cassiano G.; Neves,Danilo C..
ABSTRACT The soil physical quality is one of the most determinant factors for the development of any crop. This study aimed to assess the sample representativeness in soil resistance to penetration mappings taken in rows and interrows of the cotton crop, under two soil moisture conditions. Thirty control points were sampled in a cotton field of 91 ha. Soil resistance to penetration and soil moisture were measured at these georeferenced points. Regardless of soil moisture, the sampling position of soil resistance to penetration is indifferent (row, interrow, or in both positions) when the analysed depth is greater than 0.20 m in the cotton crop. The decrease of soil moisture causes the increment of soil resistance to penetration, regardless of the sampling...
