Última Rhabdocoela (Platyhelminthes) from the Weddell Sea (Antarctica) with the description of eight new species OMA Artois, T.; Vermin, W.; Schockaert, E.. In this contribution we present eleven species of Rhabdocoela (Platyhelminthes) collected during the Antarktis VII/4 (Epos leg. 3) expedition. Six of them belong to the family Trigonostomidae (Typhloplanoida). Five of these are new to science: <i>Trigonostomum messoplanoides</i> n. sp., Proxenetes trispinosus n. sp., <i>Messoplana globulifera</i> n. sp., <i>M minuta</i> n. sp. and <i>M. spiralis</i> n. sp. AII the species can be recognised from congeneric species by the shapes of their stylets. <i>Ceratopera axi</i> (Riedl, 1954) Den Hartog, 1964 also was found and is discussed brief1y. The other five species belong to the family Polycystididae (Eukalyptorhynchia). Three of them are new to science... Two new species of Polycystididae are described: <i>Duplacrorhynchus megalophallus</i> sp. nov. from the bay of Marseille (France) and <i>D. heyleni</i> sp. nov. from Zanzibar (Tanzania). The female system of both is characterized by the presence of a muscular bulb at the proximal end of the bursal stalk, with three strong teeth in <i>D. megalophallus</i>, and in <i>D. heyleni</i> the muscle bulb is highly asymmetric. In <i>D. megalophallus</i> the copulatory bulb is divided by a septum, and the cirrus has small spines and a proximal umbrella-like expansion. In <i>D. heyleni</i> only the cirrus, which has strong teeth, is enclosed in the cirrus sack: the seminal and prostate vesicles... The carapace length of the shrimp is directly proportional to the total length. At each moulting, a certain number of segments is added to the exopodite of the antennula. The frequency of moulting is a function of the temperature. If the mean monthly temperatures off the Belgian coast are known, this will enable us to draw a growth curve of <i>Crangon crangon</i>.Connecting the modes in the successive population curves gives a growth curve with only relative value, but it nevertheless confirms the one obtained by the preceding method.
