Produtividade simulada de tubérculos de batata em cenários de mudanças climáticas PAB
Fagundes,Joelma Dutra; Streck,Nereu Augusto; Bisognin,Dilson Antônio; Schwantes,Ana Paula; Alberto,Cleber Maus.
The objective of this study was to simulate potato (Solanum tuberosum) tuber yield in different climate change scenarios of increased carbon dioxide concentration [CO2] and air temperature, considering symmetric and asymmetric increases in minimum and maximum daily air temperatures. Spitters model was used to simulate Asterix cultivar tuber yield considering two growing seasons (spring and fall) recommended for Santa Maria, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In each growing season, five planting dates were evaluated in climate scenarios of a hundred years with no increase in [CO2] and temperature (current scenario), and in scenarios with doubling [CO2] and temperature increases of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6ºC. A symmetric increase of 4ºC and an asymmetric...

Improving node number simulation in soybean PAB
Streck,Nereu Augusto; Paula,Gizelli Moiano de; Oliveira,Felipe Brendler; Schwantes,Ana Paula; Menezes,Nilson Lemos de.
The objective of this study was to improve the simulation of node number in soybean cultivars with determinate stem habits. A nonlinear model considering two approaches to input daily air temperature data (daily mean temperature and daily minimum/maximum air temperatures) was used. The node number on the main stem data of ten soybean cultivars was collected in a three-year field experiment (from 2004/2005 to 2006/2007) at Santa Maria, RS, Brazil. Node number was simulated using the Soydev model, which has a nonlinear temperature response function [f(T)]. The f(T) was calculated using two methods: using daily mean air temperature calculated as the arithmetic average among daily minimum and maximum air temperatures (Soydev tmean); and calculating an f(T)...

Relationship between panicle differentiation and main stem leaf number in rice genotypes and red rice biotypes Scientia Agricola
Streck,Nereu Augusto; Lago,Isabel; Bosco,Leosane Cristina; Paula,Gizelli Moiano de; Oliveira,Felipe Brendler; Gabriel,Luana Fernandes; Schwantes,Ana Paula.
Panicle differentiation (DP) is a key developmental stage in rice (Oryza sativa L.) because at this stage plant switches from vegetative to reproductive development and source-sink relation changes to allocate part of the photoassimilates for growing spikelets and kernels. The objective of this study was to determine the main stem Haun Stage (HS) and the number of leaves that still have to emerge until flag leaf at PD in several cultivated rice genotypes and red rice biotypes in different sowing dates. A two-year field experiment was conducted in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil, during the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 growing seasons, and three sowing dates each year. Nine cultivated rice genotypes and two red rice biotypes were used. PD was...

Comparing two versions of a non-linear model for simulating leaf number and developmental stages in maize based on air temperature Ciência Rural
Streck,Nereu Augusto; Gabriel,Luana Fernandes; Samboranha,Flavia Kaufmann; Lago,Isabel; Schwantes,Ana Paula; Schons,Alfredo.
The Wang and Engel (WE) model simulates crop development considering the non-linear response of plant development to temperature. Daily air temperature is the input for the temperature response function [f(T)] in the WE model, and because there are several approaches for computing daily temperatures, there are several ways to calculate the f(T). The objective of this study was to compare two versions of the WE model for simulating leaf number and developmental stages in maize, considering two approaches for imputing daily air temperature (daily mean air temperature and daily minimum/maximum air temperature). A two-year field experiment with the maize variety BRS Missões sown in several sowing dates was conducted in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul State,...

Temperatura base para aparecimento de folhas e filocrono da variedade de milho BRS Missões Ciência Rural
Streck,Nereu Augusto; Lago,Isabel; Samboranha,Flávia Kaufmann; Gabriel,Luana Fernandes; Schwantes,Ana Paula; Schons,Alfredo.
