| Descartes’ thought in the 17th century announces the dawning of Modern Age. One of his heritages was the notion that we could get to know further about nature, reducing the complex to its simplest parts. This form of thinking has made us see reality as one made up of parts. The explanation of such parts would enable us to number, ordenate and understand the all. The stratification and hierarchyzation of what one calls society in parts, similar to an organism or as a system formed by economy, communication, language, religion, politics, State, rights, has fomented the idea that such spheres find themselves separated, whereas they are not in fact. | Societies which structure themselves having the purchase and selling of work as the central dimension of social life find themselves in the middle of a crisis. The job market is not, and could never be, the only space of social work allocation, otherwise the activity which produces utility values, a reproducer of the cultural and social identity, organized under principles other than those of the valorization of capital, may collapse, imploding society's very own structure. | In modern times the human body is pointed out as the central locus of countless representations and discussions, mainly those based in the consumption, pleasure and leisure society. As for the phylosophical thinking tradition the human body has hierachically been ranked inferior to reason and soul. Nowadays the new forms of communication and information impose an aesthetic pattern turned to pleasure and consumption, radically accelerating the process of valorizing capital.
