A new Cyrtoneuropsis Malloch from Brazil (Diptera, Muscidae). This paper presents the description of a new species of Cyrtoneuropsis Malloch from São Carlos, São Paulo providing illustrations of the male and female terminalia and with a brief discussion on its systematic position within the genus.

Calycomyza hyptidis Spencer (Diptera, Agromyzidae): descriptions, redescriptions and first record in Ocimum basilicum (Lamiaceae) in Brazil. All phases of the leafminer Calycomyza hyptidis Spencer are for the first time described, including the larva, puparium and adult female. Illustrations are presented for male and female terminalia, mine, larva and pupa. The species is first recorded in leaves of Ocimum basilicum L. (Lamiaceae) in Brazil.

Phytobia (Diptera: Agromyzidae) from Brazil: new species, new record and a key to the Neotropical species Rev. Bras. Zool.

ABSTRACT Phytobia Lioy, 1864 flies occur in all continents. There are four recorded species of these flies in Brazil, but recent expeditions at unexplored areas in the country have revealed that the genus is far more diverse than previously known. Based on material collected in the states of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Rondônia (as part of the SISBIOTA Diptera Project), we describe fourteen new species of Phytobia. Additionally, we redescribe P. kallima (Frost), previously recorded only from Panama, and provide a key to the 32 resulting Neotropical species.
