Three species of Coprinus belonging to the C. niveus-C. cortinatus group are newly described, viz. C. bellulus, C. candidates, and C. iocularis. For purposes of comparison a description of C. cortinatus is given also. In addition C. singularis, belonging to subsection Setulosi, is introduced as a new species. A key to the subsections is given as well as a key to the species of subsection Alachuani known from the Netherlands or to be expected in the Netherlands on account of records from neighbouring countries. Three new species, Coprinus epichloeus, Coprinus fluvialis and Coprinus sclerotiorum are described as well as a new variety of C. urticicola: var. salicicola. Mycena cecidiophila is newly described and illustrated. It grows on knopper galls on the cups of Quercus robur, and was collected from a single site in the Netherlands, Huys ten Donck estate. Although the new species resembles a species of sect. Sacchariferae, it differs in the negative Melzer-reaction on the lamella trama. The new section Cecidiophilae is therefore proposed here to accommodate the new species, characterized by warty elements of the pileipellis, amyloid spores, and absence of pleuro- and cheilocystidia.
