Analysis of the relationship intensity, duration, frequency of disaggregated daily rainfall in southern Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil REA
Damé,Rita de C. F.; Teixeira-Gandra,Claudia F. A.; Villela,Francisco A.; Santos,Jacira P. dos; Winkler,Antoniony S..
The intensity, duration, and frequency relationship (IDF) of rainfall occurrence may be done through continuous records of pluviographs or daily pluviometer values . The objective of this study was to estimate the intensity-duration-frequency relationships of precipitation, using the method of daily rainfall disaggregation, at weather stations located to the southern half of the state of Rio Grande do Sul; comparing them with those obtained by rain gauge records, in places considered homogeneous from the meteorological point of view. The IDF equation parameters were estimated from daily rainfall disaggregation data, using the method of nonlinear optimization. To validate the equations confidence indices and efficiency and the "t" Student test, among...

Several regulations in gravity table in quality of tobacco seeds REA
Gadotti,Gizele I.; Baudet,Leopoldo; Villela,Francisco A..
The use of gravity table can result in improved quality of seeds of several species, demonstrating the superiority of the quality attributes of seeds collected in the top positions in relation to the lower positions of the discharge zone of the gravity table. The availability of information on tobacco seeds, particularly on the action of gravity table, has not been addressed in the literature. The present study was to evaluate the influence of different regulations in the gravity table on the quality of tobacco seeds. The terminal edge of the machine of 50 cm width was divided into four parts plus the outlet for stones. The treatments were in the following fractions: original seed (obtained in the feed hopper), heavy seed (at the top), middle high,...

Storage of soybean seeds: Packaging and modified atmosphere technology AGRIAMBI
Capilheira,André F.; Cavalcante,Jerffeson A.; Gadotti,Gizele I.; Bezerra,Bruna R.; Hornke,Nander F.; Villela,Francisco A..
ABSTRACT The characteristics of materials used in packages for seed storage may have a negative influence in the deterioration process, causing future problems during the period of storage and in emergence in the field. In this study, the objective was to evaluate the physiological quality of soybean seeds, stored in different packages with and without the addition of CO2 (modified atmosphere), for different periods of storage and in uncontrolled environmental conditions. In order to carry out the experiment, a completely randomized design was used in a split-plot scheme, with three types of packages (permeable, hermetic package inside the permeable package and hermetic package inside the permeable package with CO2 injection) in the main plot and six...
