| En Autriche, les porcs biologiques représentent 2,3 % de la production. Les porcs biologiques sont répartis de manière inégale sur le territoire. Le principal bassin de production se situe dans les régions agricoles fertiles à l´est de l´Autriche, alors que la production dans l´ouest de l´Autriche (où il y a les régions de pâturage) est principalement destinée à l´usage personnel. La majorité des porcs biologiques sont commercialisé via un seul opérateur économique, avec environ de 75.000 porcs vendus en 2013. | Since keeping nutrient cycles intact is one of the most important goals in organic farming, the option of recycling by-products from organic food processing by feeding them to organically raised pigs was analyzed in this study. A more specific objective was to estimate the potential of this nutrient source in reducing the protein deficiency in organic pig nutrition. Sector-specific questionnaires were sent to 321 processors of organic foods in Austria. The information provided was used to estimate the total quantity available of the respective by-products. | Das Forschungsprojekt „Einführung und Monitoring von 'BetriebsEntwicklungsPlänen(BEP) Tiergesundheit und Wohlbefinden' in österreichischen Bioschweinebetrieben hatte zum Ziel, durch Einführung des Konzeptes der Betriebsentwicklungspläne zur Verbesserung von Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden und zur Reduktion des Tierarzneimitteleinsatzes als Teil eines Qualitätssicherungssystems beizutragen. Gleichzeitig sollten die Effektivität, Akzeptanz und betriebswirtschaftlichen Auswirkungen dieses Instrumentes überprüft werden.
