To investigate the effect of soil additives in reducing the effect of water deficit stress on sugar beet, an experiment was performed as a combined analysis in two regions based on randomized complete block design with four replications. Experimental treatments were location factor at two levels of Miandoab and Malekan, water deficit stress factor at three levels of 50 mm (Lack of stress), 110 mm (moderate stress) and 170 mm (severe stress) evaporation from class A evaporation pan and soil additive factor at four levels of control (no soil additives), superabsorbent, mycorrhiza and livestock manure. In the present study, the use of soil additive treatments in both regions were able to improve the yield of pure sugar compared to control. In irrigation... |

Abstract To investigate the effect of water deficit stress on yield and osmotic regulator of tetraploid and hexaploid wheat genotypes an experiment was carried out at Research Station of Islamic azad university of Miandoab in 2015. The soil texture of experimental site was sandy loam. The research field was located in a semi-arid region. This experiment was conducted as factorial based on completely randomized block design with three replications. Water deficit levels were A: control (normal condition), B: no irrigation of fertilization stage, C: no irrigation of grain filling stage. Studied genotypes were hexaploid of bread wheat ‘Sabalan’ and ‘Zarrin’ and tetraploid of durum wheat ‘Syrian-4’ and ‘Zardak’. Plant density was 400 plants.m-2. In the present... |

In most northwest provinces of Iran such as West Azarbaijan province, soil salinity is a growing problem, particularly in irrigated agricultural areas, and has been found to reduce barley yield, dramatically. To investigate the effect of sodium chloride on two barley (Hordeum vulgare) cultivars, four levels of salinity: 0, 4, 8 and 12 dS/m, were employed as a factorial experiment arranged in a completely randomized design with three replications in a controlled environment of the greenhouse during 2017-2018. The results indicated that increasing salinity from 0 to 12 dS/m, decreased the emergence percentage significantly. Two cultivars of Zarjoo and Valfajr responded differently to salinity, so that Zarjoo showed a significantly higher emergence rate. This... |
