Última First study of bacterioplankton distribution in the northwestern Arabian Gulf. IBSS Repository Al-Rifaie, K.; Al-Yamani, F.; Polikarpov, I. G.. Bacterioplankton abundance, as well as spatial and vertical distribution covering several stations in the northern and central part of the Arabian Gulf were investigated during summer 2001. The results indicated a spatial variability in the bacterioplankton distribution within the study area, but no depth difference in abundance due to the well mixed nature of its waters.
