การศึกษากลไกความต้านทานของข้าวสายพันธุ์ดีต่อเพลี้ยกระโดดสีน้ำตาล Thai Agricultural
Phamorn Pattawatang; Jate Kotcharerk; Suradet Palawisut.
Resistance mechanism of resistant varieties and promising lines of rice to brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens (Ståll) compared with standard resistance (PTB33 and Rathu Heenati) and standard susceptible (Taichung Native 1 : TN1) criteria to evaluate the reaction, the response of rice varieties and promising lines to the infestation of insects. Antixenosis resistance mechanisms, which describes a reaction dislike to eat or inhibit eating, affected to oviposition or fewer oviposition. Mechanical resistance Antibiosis explained by the percentage of surviving and development of the nymph stage to the adult, impact on the life cycle of insects and low feeding rates. Tolerance mechanisms of resistance can be explained by assessments of function plant loss...

Medium grain rice varietal improvement at Pathum Thani Rice Research Center has been conducted in 2010 starting by utilizing the populations of 121 F6 hybrid lines of PTTH07016 and 151 F4 lines of 33 crosses in irrigation lowland rice improvement project. The objective was to improve medium grain brown rice with 5.5-6.6 millimeters long and low to intermediate amylose content (15-25%). Four selected lines were laboratory test for making the products. There were two lines; PTT06036-25-5-B-4-1 and PTT06038-9-1-B-5-1 revealed good acceptability. However, these lines had variations in traits in which PTT06036-25-5-B-4-1 and PTT06038-9-1-B-5-1 consisted of 4 and 2 traits respectively. PTT06036-25-5-B-4-1-4 gave grain yield of 615 kilograms/rai, 114 day maturity...

Thai Agricultural

Pathumthani 1 is an aromatic non-glutinous and photoperiod insensitive rice. Its yield potential is up to 800-900 kg/rai under suitable fertilizer usage and cultural practices. Average yield on farm trail was damaged by flooding, brown planthopper and bacterial blight about 20 to 50 percent. Improvement of Pathumthani 1 for submergence tolerance, bacterial blight and brown planthopper resistance using molecular marker is one approach to solve this problem. This project was carried out under the commitment between the Rice Department and the Gene Discovery Unit of Kasetsart University. The experiments were divided into two parts, first part was crossing Pathumthani 1 and Pinkaset 1 to introduce bacterial blight resistance gene including Xa21, xa5 and...

การเพาะเลี้ยงอับละอองเรณูข้าวเพื่อสร้างสายพันธุ์แท้ให้ต้านทานโรคไหม้ Thai Agricultural
Pannipa Yajai; Kulchana Ketsuwan.
Anther culture (AC) technology is being used to conduct rice blast resistant true breeding line at Phrae Rice Research Center in 2012. Five crosses from irrigated rice research and development program were cultured on N6 formula media to induce callus formation in the dark room, 20-250C and light intensity about 2000 Lux for 1-2 months and followed by MS media for 1-2 months. Then, the plantlet was transplanted to nursery and 96 progenies of five crosses were planted to observational trial in the field during wet season, 2014. The evaluation of blast reaction was conducted at Phrae Rice Research Center using mixed isolates of blast pathogen from Phrae province. The results show that one line (PRE12111-AC-1-5) is highly resistance (HR) and 26 lines are...
