Sulfate fertilizer influencing methane emissions in paddy field and rice (cv. Chainat 1) production Thai Agricultural

Methane (CH4) is one of the most important greenhouse gases having a significant impact upon global warming. Today, paddy fields are a major source of methane production. The objective of our experiment is to investigate whether sulfate fertilizer can reduce the amount of methane emissions from the paddy field into the atmosphere, while maintain or increase fertility of the paddy soil, and the rice production of Chainat1. The objectives of this study were to study the efficiency of input factors for Khao Dawk Mali (KDML) 105 production, and estimate the technical efficiency score of rice production in Roi-Et province. The data used in this study was the cross-section data from famers who grew KDML 105 rice with broadcasting technique in Roi-Et province during 2012/13 crop year. The data was collected using the procedure of purposive sampling by choose highest number of farmers who grew KDWL 105 and found the soil group no 17 and 22 in the same area together with random sampling method. Earthen weir (thamnop) irrigation of rice fields was formerly widespread in Northeast Thailand (Isan) but has greatly declined in recent years, although still persisting in some places in southern Isan. The objective of this research was to discover if there are differences in the contexts of existing and abandoned of thamnop that may explain their retention or abandonment. Field study employing participation observation and interviewing of key informants and samples of farmer households was done in two villages in Surin province. การปฏิบัติของชาวนาในการปลูกข้าวตามมาตรฐานการปฏิบัติทางการเกษตรที่ดี (GAP) ปี 2550/2551 Thai Agricultural

This article concerned a summary report of social science research. The purpose of this research was to know the farmers' socio-economic situation, rice cultivation, rice cultivation practices, GAP standard practice in rice cultivation of the farmars and its factors related. The research was conduted by interviewing 3,575 farmers in 51 provinces during October 2007 to September 2008. It revealed the current situation of Thai farmers, rice cultivation practices, technologies used for rice production i.e. rice seed, soil fertility improvement, rice pest control and emphasizing on GAP standard practice by farmers. Many suggestion of the researchers were also given.

การสร้างแบบจำลองการเคลื่อนย้ายของเพลี้ยกระโดดสีน้ำตาล จากข้อมูลการระบาดในจังหวัดชัยนาท Thai Agricultural

Survey in paddy field in 2013 amount 54 fields as follow : Mueang Chai Nat 13 fields, Manorom 6 fields, Watsing 5 fields, Sapphaya 7 fields, Sankaburi 9 fields, Hankha district 10 fields, Nakhonsawan 1 field, Uthithani 1 field, Singburi 1 field and Suphanburi province 1 field. We begin survey at 15 days after planting to 90 days and used outbreak data sets by week from Department of Agricultural Extension for decision. The survey results show that brown planthopper high in 2 times per year. The first time is in February to March in Mueang Chai Nat and Hankha district because of brown planthopper outbreak in Suphanburi, migrated to Hankha district and influence of southern wind.
