Germination test (sand test) of storage condition of treated field corn seed, SW. 5 variety was carried out in 2 conditions, room temperature (25 deg C +- 2 deg C) and control room (13 deg C +- 2 deg C, 45 percent RH.) storage for 6 months. There were 8 treatments including 7S+SPt 360, 7S+ KPS 46, 7S+SW 01/4, SW 01/4+SPt 360, SW 01/4+KPS 46, SPt 360+KPS 46, bacterial suspension KPS 46 and non-treated (control). The result showed that seed storage under different condition affected on seed germination significantly. Seed deterioration rate in condition room lower than in room temperature. Present study was conducted to evaluate RD14 seed accelerated aging for longevity in humid tropic at Phrae Rice Research Center. Rice seeds from wet season, 2012 were stored in plastic bags at room temperature and were monitored for seed quality every month. Moreover, the rice seed samples were aliquoted for Accelerated Againg Test (AA) with 100% relative humidity and the temperature condition was varied from 44 46 and 48 0c for 72 96 120 and 144 hrs, respectively. The results revealed the correlation between seed germination from each temperature and time accelerated aging and seed stored in plastic bags at room temperature. It was shown that RD14 seed at moisture content 13% in plastic bag could be stored for 6 months with more than 80 % germination.... |

Study on changes of starch viscosity and cooking quality of northeastern rainfed lowland rice lines aims to gather basic information on grain quality for each promising line in order to plan for further product development. In 2012, the experiment was conducted on 6 promising lines, which include 5 non-glutinous lines, i.e. UBN03007-47-7-9-7-80-54, UBN03007-47-7-7-26-35-19, UBN03005-6-3-26-10-21-27, UBN02123-50(R)-B-3, UBN03005-6-3-26-10-49-10 and 1 glutinous line; RGD05282-3-3.
