| Objectives of this study were to investigate the cost and return to farmers on their corn production classified by varieties in Tak Fa district, Nakhon Sawan province in 2009 crop year. Out of 122 farm samples, 75, 13, 19 and 15 farms were found using variety A, B, C and others, respectively. The results showed that most of the farms had a similar production pattern. In addition, it was found that variety B had the highest cost of production, average yield, revenue and net profit (3,667.3 Baht/Rai 1,112.9 Kg./Rai 4,218.0 Baht/Rai and 550.7 Baht/Rai, respectively). | Farmers in irrigated area tried to grow rice more than 2 crops/year. Nowadays there are no break even data. The aim of this research to compare economic data between 2 and 3 crops/year rice cropping system. Experiments were conducted in farmer’s field and Pathumthani Rice Research Center’s field, Pathum Thani province in 2011-13. There were 3 experiments : using the same variety, changed variety every season and changed variety every season with short duration rice variety in the rice cropping system. Each experiment consisted of 2 treatments : 2 and 3 crops/year rice cropping system.
