Objective of this study was to study the genetic diversity in Giant Freshwater Prawn in Thailand from 4 locations, which were Khon Kaen (KK), Samutsongkhram (SK), Suratthani (SR) and Angthong (AT), with a total of 100 samples. Microsatellite technique with 13 primers and separating on 6% denaturing polyacrylamide gel were used in this study. The result showed that polymorphic loci had 105 alleles, the average number of alleles per locus was 8.08. The frequency of alleles ranged from 0.00 to 0.88. The average expected heterozygosity at all loci was 0.73 and the genetic distance ranged from 0.15 to 0.20, showed that the population from Samutsongkhram and Angthong were genetic the closest, while the population from Samutsongkhram and Suratthani were the most... |
