Shortage of good quality rice seeds is the main problem in rice production system in Thailand. One of the important factors affecting quality and quantity of rice seeds during storage is the damage caused by storage insects which resulted in 3.2 – 4.5% weight loss. For the effective control of these insects, understanding of type, shape, life cycle and types of damages must be concerned. Five sacks of sixty kilograms of RD6 rice seed stored in jute sack were placed in 5 positions in the rice silo during January 2014-January 2015.
