Trichoderma harzianum strain CB-Pin-01 suppressed the growth and effectively destroyed mycelia of Aspergillus sp. When T. harzianum strain CB-Pin-01 used as seed and soil treatment or as seed and soil treatment plus three spray applications, the populations of Aspergillus spp. in corn planting soil were reduced by 85.26 and 90.00 percent, respectively, whereas the reduction of population in a control was 13.95 percent. T. harzianum strain CB-Pin-01 could colonize corn roots and rhizosphere soil throughout the growing period. การใช้เซลล์แขวนลอยและสารสกัดหยาบของแบคทีเรีย Bacillus licheniformis BFP011 ในการควบคุมโรคแอนแทรคโนสบนผลพริก Thai Agricultural

The five concentrations of cell suspension of Bacillus licheniformis BFP011 each applied to reduce the disease symptom caused by Colletotrichum capsici using the detached fruit technique with Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The statistical analysis indicated that inoculation of cell suspension prior to inoculation of C. capsici gave more disease severity reduction than inoculation of C. capsici prior to inoculation of cell suspension. The optimal concentration that reduced disease severity; without adverse effect was at 1x104-1x105 cfu/ml prior to inoculation of C. capsici for 24 hours as disease severity was reduced by 35.8% and 34.8%, respectively. The cell suspension at the concentrations between 1x106 to 1x108 cfu/ml induced fruit rot to 10-50%....

ผลของแบคทีเรีย Bacillus licheniformis BFP011 ในการยับยั้งเชื้อรา Colletotrichum capsici สาเหตุโรคแอนแทรคโนสของพริก Thai Agricultural

Capability of 11 isolates of Bacillus spp. previously reported as antagonistic against some plant pathogens was tested. This is to inhibit the growth of four isolates of Colletotrichum capsici isolated from stalk, leaf, fruit and 158 ci/KU, by employing Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 11 treatments with 4 replications. The results showed that B. licheniformis BFP011 exhibited the most promising inhibition. Similarly, the evaporated crude extract produced by B. licheniformis BFP011 was able to inhibit greatly growth of C. capsici. When mycelium and spores of C. capsici were immersed in cell suspension at 1x108 cfu/ml and the evaporated crude extract at 1,000 mg/ml of B. licheniformis BFP011 for 24 hours. การผลิตโพลีโคลนอลแอนติซีรัมที่จำเพาะต่อ Streptomyces-PR15 และการใช้ตรวจติดตามเชื้อรอบผิวรากต้นกล้าพริก Thai Agricultural

The antagonistic Streptomyces-PR15 is a broad spectrum against various plant pathogenic fungi and bacteria of economic crops. To develop the ELISA technique for detection the Streptomyces-PR15 in bioproducts and plant surrounding environment, the production of polyclonal antiserum against Streptomyces-PR15 was carried out. The antigen prepared from Streptomyces-PR15 whole cell proteins was mixed with Freund’s incomplete adjuvant (1:1, v/v) was injected to in New Zealand White rabbit with immunization program as follows, intramuscular injection for 3 times then only antigen was intravenous injected for 2 times. Bleeding was done at 10 days after final immunization and then at weekly interval for 8 weeks. The antigen was re-intravenous injected at 14 days...

Antagonist was applied as either seed or foliar treatments and the efficacy of disease suppression was determined by disease incidence and systemic resistance induction. Under greenhouse, the threshold concentration of each antagonist required for significant (P=0.05) suppression of BLS was 1*10**(6) and 1*10**(8) cfu/ml for seed and foliar spray applications respectively. Combined seed and foliar treatments with antagonist provided higher induction of plant resistance than application either seed or foliar alone, as account by correlated accumulation of defense-related enzyme activity, beta-1,3-glucanase.
