The effect of climate change may influence the intensity and severity in some rice diseases, particularly in continuous-cultivation irrigated areas. To study the outbreak of rice diseases in relation to climate change, the experiment using Split-plot in RCB design having 3 replicates was conducted at Phatthalung Rice Research Center during October 2010 to December 2012. The main plot consisted of 12 sowing dates, one month each throughout the year. Sub-plots contained two rice varieties being PSL2 and CNT1. Disease assessment for incidence and severity was carried out in each sub-plot. Meteorological data such as temperature, relative humidity and rainfall were collected from the meteorological station. Based on meteorological data, the average annual... |
