การสำรวจและจำแนกพื้นที่ปลูกข้าวไร่และข้าวนาที่สูง เพื่อบ่งชี้สภาวะวิกฤติจากสภาพดินกรด Thai Agricultural

Survey and classification of highland rice cultivation areas to indicate acid soil crisis was conducted on altitude 700 meters above sea level. Soil sampling was conducted form 7 districts of Mae Hong Son province are namely Muang, Khun Yuam, Mae La Noi, Mae Sariang, Sop Muey, Pai and Pang Ma Pha in the year 2012-2013. A total of 115 soil samples were consisting of 68 paddies and 47 upland conditions. Soil samples were analysis to find out the soil pH. The result showed that the strongly acid, moderately acid and slightly acid are 39.13, 21.74 and 20.86 percentages, respectively. In other hand, the natural, very strongly acid and extremely acid are 8.7, 7.83 and 1.7 percentages, respectively. However 39 percent of upland soil sample and 38 percent of paddy...

อิทธิพลของการใช้สารเคมีป้องกันกำจัดโรคไหม้คอรวงในแปลงผลิตเมล็ดพันธุ์ขาวดอกมะลิ 105 Thai Agricultural

Studies was conducted to determine the effects of fungicide usage on rice blast disease, caused by Pyricularia grisea (Cooke) Sacc. [= Magnaporthe grisea (Hebert) Barr] on rice cultivar KDML105 in Mae Hong Son Province. The four fungicides usage were isoprothiolane (Fuji one) tricyclazol (Beam 75%wp) Azoxystrobin + Difenoconazole (Ortiva 32 SC and Carbendazim (Cardazin-F). The results showed the four fungicides were use in rice KDML105 to be more effective in suppressing blast and protecting yield, compared to control (non-treat). The fungicides that Azoxystrobin + Difenoconazole was moderately resistant to leaf and neck blast, with the lowest percentage unfilled grains per panicle and have highest yield (669 kg/rai) with compare to the other.

In the Upper North of Thailand, the biggest wet season rice area is Chiang Rai province whereas the smallest is Mae Hong Son. In each year the rice area data from each organizes are different. Application of geographic information technologies by translating THEOS satellite image is one of channel for the classification of rice-growing areas of the two provinces. It can be use to predict the rice yield as well as use for the data base for rice research in Chiang Rai and also rice production for food security forecast of Mae Hong Son province. Survey and evaluation on rice seed quality in Mae Hong Son Province were conducted during 2009-2010. The survey aimed to investigate farmer’s practices on rice seed production and uses, seed demand and problems as well as to monitor farmers after using good seed. Three groups of people were interviewed consisted of seed producers and sellers, farmers who used their own seed and farmers who used good seed. The result showed that most of the seed samples were unqualified as compared to the Rice Department seed standard. The major problems found were seed impurity and mixed of foreign materials. Beu Po Lo, is highland paddy rice variety which are widely planted among Karen ethnic groups and its emphasis on highland food security in Mae Hong Son. In 2008, Beu Po Lo varieties were surveyed and collected form diversed area between 505-1,303 meters above sea level in Mae Hong Son. Beu Po Lo is a traditional rice growing for a long time and maintained by an ancestor as an inheritance and tradition for many generations. In 2010, Mae Hong Son Rice Research Center was done the activities at two extension areas site of the Royal Project. The knowledge transfer and community potential development project at Ban Huay Sai, Huay Poo Ling, Muang, Mae Hong Son province and the project to solve opium growing area at Ban Huay Ha, Muang Paeng, Pai, Mae Hong Son province. At Ban Huay Sai upland rice is staple food crops but 8 households or 30 percent are insufficient for consumption about 2-3 months during the year.
