Objective of this study was to compare four cultivars/lines of aromatic green soybean for fresh pod yield, seed yield, and storage quality. For yield assessment, the experiment was conducted under field conditions in the dry seasons and the late rainy seasons during November 2009 to February 2011 in a randomized completed block design with five replications. For storability study, the experiment was undertaken in a laboratory using a split plot design in completly randomized design with three replications. In the dry season, two lines of aromatic green soybean (MJ0108-11-5 and MJ0101-4-6) had higher fresh pod yield (314 and 299 kg/Rai) and seed yield (281 and 294 kg/Rai) than did the standard check (Kaori). Vegetable soybean is an important exported crop for export of Thailand. Fragrance is a trait determining vegetable soybean quality flavored by customers and can increase the value-added products of vegetable soybean. Fragrance is mainly caused by volatile chemical, 2-Acetyl-1-pyrroline (2AP). The objective of this study was to confirm the mode of inheritance of fragrance in vegetable soybean variety “chamame” and the association between functional marker GmBADH2-10 and fragrance determined by sensory test in the F2 population derived from cross between #75 (non-fragrant) x Chamame (fragrant). The objective of this research was aimed to evaluate the availability of mineralized N from vegetable soybean for Chinese kale growth by using 15N technique and to find out the suitable rate of soybean biomass to be used as fertilizer for Chinese kale. Experiment 1 was conducted at the farmer’s plot in Chiang Rai province during September to November 2005 and the experiment 2, was conducted in the experimental plot of the Faculty of Agriculture Chiang Mai University during January 2006 to June 2006.
