SSR molecular markers SSR are tandem arranged repeats of short DNA motifs (1-6 bp in length) distributed throughout the genome that frequently exhibit variation in the number of repeats at the locus of each rice variety. The SSR markers, therefore, are suitable for detecting polymorphisms between closely related genotypes of Thai local rice varieties from the National Rice Germplasm Bank. In this research, DNA fingerprinting was conducted using 8 Thai local rice varieties. i.e., Niaw Sanpahtawng (NSPT_GB), Khao Gaw Diaw (KGD_GB), Niaw Dam (ND_GB), Khao tah Haeng 17 (KTH17_GB), Jao’ Haw (JH_GB), Pin Gaew 56 (PG56_GB), Jek Chuey Gahb Khiaw (JCGK_GB), Sang Yod Pattalung (SYPL_GB), and 5 standard varieties, i.e., Khao Dawk Mali 105 (KDML105_GB, KDML105_C),... |
