This study evaluated the effects of hatching in low performance broiler chicks before industrial production on survival rate and productive performance. Twelve houses of 15,000 birds each, day-old chicks (Ross 308) were assigned to randomized complete block design (RCBD) in a 2×2 factorial arrangement with two factors. Each factor was divided into 3 blocks. Factor A was types of brood (normal and hatchery brood) and factor B was sex (male and female). The results showed that no interaction between survival rate and growth performance in broiler chickens (P>0.05). The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of hydrate sodium calcium aluminosilicate (HSCAS; Detox®) in binding aflatoxin (AF) and ameliorating their mycotoxicity in meat type duck diets. Measurement the growth performance and pathology by HSCAS were supplemented to 60 or 120 ppb AF contaminated diets at either 0.10 or 0.20%. Body weight gain were reduced by 21.45% and mortality was increased by 7.50% in duck fed diet contaminated with AF at 120 ppb compared to duck fed control diet (30 ppb AF) for the 4 wk experimental period. However, dietary HSCAS supplementation effectively alleviated overall toxicity induced by AF. ผลของแหล่งไขมันต่อสมรรถภาพการเจริญเติบโต การย่อยได้ของโภชนะ และส่วนประกอบของซากไก่เนื้อ Thai Agricultural

The present study was carried out to investigate the effect of fat sources on feed intake, nutrients digestibility and organ weight of broiler chicken. Forty-five Arbor Acre broiler commercial chicks, seven day old, were used in a Completely Randomized Design. Birds were individually housed in cage and distilled water was fully supplied. The experiment lasted 21 days. The experimental diets were contained three sources of fat [Tallow (T), Soybean oil (SBO) and Krabok fat (KF)]. At the end of the experiment, it was found that average daily feed intake (ADFI) was 45.43, 41.75 and 46.62 g/d in birds fed T, SBO and KF, respectively (P>0.05).
