The main objective for the survey and evaluation on seed quality in Surat Thani province in 2010 was to accomplish the farmers’ problems and their need for the seed. This would be not only beneficial for an appropriate technology transfer on seed production in any target areas but also broaden a support for a national control scheme on seed producers and seed sellers. The study consisted of three activities; the first one was survey and evaluation on seed quality from seed producers and seed sellers. There were 3 groups of seed producers consisting 38 rice farmers, 1 store selling rice seed which is a rice selling agent in Surat Thani province. The rice seed was Pathum Thani 1.
