This study evaluated the effects of hatching in low performance broiler chicks before industrial production on survival rate and productive performance. Twelve houses of 15,000 birds each, day-old chicks (Ross 308) were assigned to randomized complete block design (RCBD) in a 2×2 factorial arrangement with two factors. Each factor was divided into 3 blocks. Factor A was types of brood (normal and hatchery brood) and factor B was sex (male and female). The results showed that no interaction between survival rate and growth performance in broiler chickens (P>0.05).
