Effect of Conservative Tillage on Physical Properties of Soil in Irrigated Wheat Production CIGR Journal
Younesi Alamooti, Mohammad.
In order to compare conservation tillage treatments on physical properties of soil, a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications was conducted in the fild of Agricultural Research ,Education and Extension Center of Markazi Province if Iran, during the 2 cropping seasons (2012 and 2013). The treatments were: 1) Moldboard plow + disc (conventional method), 2) Chisel packer, 3) Combined Tillage Tools, and 4) Direct seeding. In both cropping seasons, the tillage operations were carried out based on the experimental treatments in a plot containing fodder corn plant residues (var. SC-704). The physical properties of soil included soil bulk density, soil permeability (infiltration), mean weight diameter (MWD) of aggregates, and soil...

Effect of Conservative Tillage on Physical Properties of Soil and Yield of Rainfed Wheat CIGR Journal
Younesi Alamooti, Mohammad.
In order to study the effect of conservative tillage on a number of physical properties of soil and the yield of rainfed wheat, an experiment in form of a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications was conducted in a field in Aliabad County, Iran. The study treatments included: T1) Conventional method, T2) Combined moldboard plow method, T3) Chisel-packer method, and T4) Direct planting method. During early October, the study soil was prepared based on these treatments in a field which was used for rainfed wheat farming in the the previous year. The apparent specific gravity of soil, weighted mean diameter (WMD) of soil aggregates, soil mechanical resistance, and soil permeability were measured. Data were analyzed in MSTAT-C....

Field Evaluation of Some Tillage Practices in Rainfed Wheat Planting: Their Effects on Crop Yield Components and Implements CIGR Journal
Younesi alamooti, Mohammad.
This study is aimed to evaluate the effect of multiple tillage practices on the wheat yield in rainfed fields. The experiment was conducted in three field preparation and planting treatments including Conventional tillage (moldboard plow, disc, and centrifugal seed spreader) indicated as T1, chisel plow, disc, and planting with deep drill as T2, and conservation tillage (plowing with heavy disc on last year’s crop residues, and planting with deep drill) as T3. The performance characteristics as well as agronomic and crop yield parameters were measured and analyzed for two consecutive years. The design of experiments was carried out base on Randomized Complete Blocks with four replications. The analysis of results showed that the conservation tillage had a...
