Evaluation of alternative containers to determining the working width of fertilizer spreaders REA
Primo,Marcelo A.; Gurgacz,Flavio; Kunz,Vilson L.; Primo,Lucas I.; Furlan,Fernando; Silva,Suedêmio L.; Gabriel Filho,Antonio.
Farmers have difficult of determining the evenness of transverse distribution and the working width, due the tests with this aim require equipments and complex methodologies. So, this study evaluates some alternative containers with the aim to allow a more accessible adjustment of the full width of the solid fertilizer spreaders. Four different containers were tested: i) standard container constructed in accordance with ISO 5690/1; ii) container of polyethylene (plastic trays) with screen shading to prevent the ricochet of material; iii) containers composed by boxes of long-life milk, and iv) containers composed by flowerpots (number 3.5). Also, three different spreaders were used for the tests. Alternative containers showed greater retention of particles...

TIME AVAILABLE FOR SPRAYING AND MECHANIZED SOWING IN THE NORTHEAST OF THE STATE OF MATO GROSSO DO SUL AND SOUTH OF GOIÁS REA
Gava,Ricardo; Scarpin,Igor M.; Baio,Fabio H. R.; Wassolowski,Carlos R.; Neves,Danilo C..
ABSTRACT The sizing of mechanized agricultural systems depends on the soil and climatic conditions, the crop and the work regime. The aim of this study was to determine the probabilities of time available during an agricultural year for mechanized spraying and sowing in the northeast region of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul and south of Goiás. The meteorological restrictions imposed as unfavorable hours were: ambient temperature above 32°C, relative air humidity below 50%, wind velocity above 15 km h-1 and soil volumetric moisture above 39% (humidity equivalent to 90% of the available water capacity for the studied soil). The mathematical models were elaborated for eight years, based on the historical data of the automatic station of the National...

Fuel consumption in an air blower for agricultural use under different operating conditions AGRIAMBI
Silva,Robson L. da.
ABSTRACT Evaluation of fuel consumption in internal combustion engines (ICE) of agricultural machinery and equipment is important in determining the performance under various operating conditions, especially when using biofuels. This study consisted of experimental evaluation of the gasoline (petrol)/ethanol consumption in a two-stroke 1-cylinder ICE, Otto cycle, functioning as an air blower for agriculture and related applications. A methodology for tests of non-automotive ICE, based on ABNT/NBR technical standards, was considered. The presented results refer to operation with commercial and non-commercial fuel blends. Characteristic curves for the tested equipment are presented, identifying consumption conditions and trend in the whole operating range of...
