Психрофильные бактерии родов Alteromonas и Psychrobacter , выделенные из воды Чёрного моря. IBSS Repository

На основании данных фенотипического анализа и частичного сиквенса гена 16S рРНК 7 штаммов галофильных морских бактерий, выделенных из воды Чёрного моря, были отнесены к экстремофильным антарктическим видам Psychrobacter glacincola NaCl и ассимиляцией некоторых источников углеродного питания.(4 штамма) и Alteromonas stellipolaris (3 штамма). Будучи в целом сходными по своим свойствам с антарктическими изолятами, черноморские штаммы отличались от них способностью к росту при более высоких температурах, устойчивостью к более низким концентрациям

Structural studies of the main exopolysaccharide produced by the deep-sea bacterium Alteromonas infernus ArchiMer

The structure of the extracellular polysaccharide produced by the mesophilic species, Alteromonas infernus, found in deep-sea hydrothermal vents and grown under laboratory conditions, has been investigated using partial depolymerization, methylation analysis, mass spectrometry and NMR spectroscopy. Diseases of cultured molluscs in Australia ArchiMer

Three mollusc species are cultured commercially in Australian tropical and warm temperate waters: the Sydney rock oyster Saccostrea commercialis , the pearl rock oyster is susceptible to two protozoans: Marteilia sydneyi , which is the cause of QX Disease and infects oysters during the summer; and Mikrocytos roughleyi which is associated with winter mortality. It also harbours mudworm, Polydora websteri a parasite farmers try to avoid by growing oysters on racks. Transported pearl oysters Pinctada maxima die with heavy infections of Vibrio harveyi . Cultured giant clams Tridacna gigas are pestered by pyramidellid snails and some carry Perkinsus sp., a protozoan common in reef bivalves.
