This report is a technical and financial analysis of a project of a shellfish farm in open sea which diversifies with the implementation of a scallop activity. It lays out first the technical description of the project, its size and the choice of rearing standards. After the working out of investments, operating costs and expected receipts, the analysis deals with the marginal profitability of the scallop activity and the financial consequences of its implementation in the farm. Phytoplankton production and sea water pumping cost effectiveness should be improved. However, a company's activities may be diversified using intensive clam rearing techniques but without labor staff increase.
