The search for decision-making tools is essential in order to control agricultural practices and plan for sustainable agriculture that respects the environment. To this end, FAO has developed an evaluation model called AquaCrop, which covers most technical routes, including fertilization. In this perspective, this study focuses on the AquaCrop model (v6.1) to calibrate it for the simulation of lettuce crop yields (Lactuca sativa L), under different fertilization levels for the trial periods (2015/2016) and (2016/2017). Four levels of fertilization were examined under rain conditions, namely T1 (0 kg N/ha), T2 (60 kg N/ha), T3 (120 kg N/ha) and T4 (180 kg N/ha). The model performance was evaluated using the coefficient of determination (R2), the square root... |

AquaCrop is a very famous model in the world for evaluating the crop water productivity. FAO has developed the AquaCrop model as a leading and powerful scientific tool for simulating the response of different field crops to managing quantitative and qualitative irrigation. The experiment was cultivated on the farm of National Research Centre of Research and Production at El-Nubaria district, El-Buhaira Governorate on summer season of the year 2018 and 2019, treatments were 80, 60 and 40 % of water holding capacity (WHC), and Micronutrient mixture 4 levels 0, 1, 2 and 3%. Results found that the simulated and observed values of seed yield were rather well in agreement for the water stress treatments. This means that differences in vegetative growth, yield... |
