An integrated approach to delimiting species borders in the genus Chrysotoxum Meigen, 1803 (Diptera: Syrphidae), with description of two new species Naturalis
Nedeljković, Z.; Ačanski, J.; Đan, M.; Obreht-Vidaković, D.; Ricarte, A.; Vujić, A..
Integrative taxonomy tests the validity of taxa using methods additional to traditional morphology. The existence of two different morphotypes in specimens identified as Chrysotoxum vernale Loew (Diptera: Syrphidae) prompted their taxonomic study using an integrative approach that included morphology, wing and male-surstylus geometric morphometrics, genetic and ecological analyses. As a result, a new species is recognised, Chrysotoxum montanum Nedeljković & Vujić sp. nov., and C. vernale is re-defined. A lectotype and paralectotypes are designated for C. vernale to stabilize this concept. An additional species, Chrysotoxum orthostylum Vujić sp. nov., with distinctive male genitalia is also described. The three species share an antenna with the...

New and little-known pseudoscorpions of the genus Roncus L. Koch (Neobisiidae, Pseudoscorpiones) from Serbia, Yugoslavia Naturalis
Ćurčić, Božidar P.M..
Two new species of Roncus L. Koch, 1873 (R. svarozici n. sp. and R. svanteviti n. sp.), collected in eastern and southeastern Serbia, Yugoslavia, are described and their distribution is given. A supplementary description of R. pljakici Ćurčić, 1973, is provided as well. The taxonomic diversity of the western and southern European “Roncus lubricus” species complex is discussed in view of the importance of some diagnostic characters. The possible role of R. svarozici n. sp. and R. parablothroides Hadži, 1937 in colonizing caves is considered as well as the divergent differentiation of some Balkan subterranean pseudoscorpions.

On Reidcyclops, new genus (Crustacea, Copepoda), with the first description of the male of Reidcyclops Trajani (Reid & Strayer, 1994), new combination Naturalis
Karanovic, Tomislav.
Reidcyclops n. gen. (Copepoda, Cyclopoida) is established to comprise three species, previously considered as members of the genus Diacyclops: Reidcyclops dimorphus (Reid & Strayer, 1994) n. comb., R. imparilis (Monchenko, 1985) n. comb., and R. trajani (Reid & Strayer, 1994) n. comb. (here designated as the type species). This genus is characterised by a 2-segmented fifth leg, and by the presence of sexual dimorphism in the swimming legs, as well as by other characteristics. In this paper the male of R. trajani is described for the first time from Macedonia. The taxonomic position of the new genus within the subfamily Cyclopinae is discussed.

New and little-known cavernicolous species of Chthoniidae and Neobisiidae (Pseudoscorpiones, Arachnida) from Serbia Naturalis
Ćurčić, Božidar P.M.; Lee, Vincent F.; Makarov, Slobodan E..
The pseudoscorpions of the genera Chthonius C.L. Koch, 1843 (Chthoniidae) and Roncus L. Koch, 1873 (Neobisiidae) from caves in Serbia, Yugoslavia, have been studied. Three new species, Chthonius (Globochthonius) purgo, Chthonius (Ephippiochthonius) kemza, and Roncus talason are described. A reanalysis of the type material of three subspecies of Chthonius and Roncus from Serbian caves has supported their elevation to full specific rank: Chthonius (Globochthonius) pancici Ćurčić, 1972, Roncus remesianensis Ćurčić, 1981, and R. timacensis Ćurčić, 1981. All species studied are considered endemics of the Balkan Peninsula. Diagnostic characters of the analysed taxa are thoroughly described or figured. Taxonomic interrelationships and geographical distribution...

Three new epigean representatives of Roncus L. Koch, 1873 (Neobisiidae, Pseudoscorpiones), from the Balkan Peninsula Naturalis
Ćurčić, Božidar P.M.; Ćurčić, Srećko B.; Ćurčić, Nina B.; Makarov, Slobodan E..
Two species and one subspecies of Roncus L. Koch, 1873, new to science (R. tintilin n. sp., R. trojan n. sp., and R. trojan strahor n. ssp.), collected in eastern and southeastern Serbia, Yugoslavia, are described, diagnostic characters are illustrated, and their distribution is given. The possible establishment of two species groups of Roncus is discussed briefly in view of the importance of some diagnostic characters.
