| We studied salinity in the basin of Marenes-Oléron starting from the data of the hydrological network of follow-up set up by IFREMER in the basin and starting from simulations with the assistance of an horizontal bidimensional model. The data enabled us to characterize the evolution of sali nit y at long and medium range and simulations allowed us to complete this board with the short-range variations, in particular with regard to the variabilily due to the cycle of tides. The long-term trend varies little and does not show any clear augmentation or reduction over the studied period. The saisonnality, on the other hand, presents more significant variations.
