The present study aims, analyze the influence of the tide on the engraulids catches in fishing of beach-seine in Angoche, northern Mozambique. Data sampling of this fishery in Angoche district from 2004 to 2009 available in the database, Pescart for that district were used. The catch data (Kg) and catch rates (CPUE) were processed in the database and organized by type of tide (alive and dead). The proportions (weight) of the species composition and average size of species caught were compared by tide type tide. T-Test was used to check whether there are differences in CPUE's and medium sizes depending on the tides of three species, Thryssa vitrirostris, Sillago sihama and Sardinella albella. Net fishing is an important component of the artisanal fishery of the Seychelles. It is composed of beach seine, encircling and set gillnets. This report reviews net fishery and its impact on the environment and fish stocks and provides a framework for its management. There are no current management measures for the traditional net fisheries except that all nets above 50 metres requires a license with a lead seal bearing the licence number. Certain irresponsible uses of these nets have ben acknowledged, principally the 'Met outaz' fishing strategy, incidental catch of marine mammals and the presence of commercially important juvenile fish in the beach seine fishery.
